Tomillo Basto. Essential oils.

In addition to being a widely used aromatic herb in the kitchen, thyme is a small shrub from which an oil that has multiple medicinal properties is extracted. At an industrial level, this essential oil is widely used in perfumery and cosmetics products. For example, it is used in the elaboration of hair products for hair loss and other scalp conditions, in addition to aging skin. At home, we can also take advantage of all the benefits of this essential oil:

 Because of its antiseptic action, it helps treat skin infections, such as herpes, granites, etc. Ideally, add a few drops of this oil to a natural cream with bee wax. Never apply direct on the skin.

 For headache, mix a small teaspoon of olive oil with three drops of thyme essential oil and three drops of mint essential oil. Extend on the forehead, temples, behind the ears and neck.

 Due to its antibiotic action, it is effective in flu, colds, bronchitis, asthma and other respiratory infections. It is enough to perform deep inhalations of this oil directly from the bottle that contains it.

 In case of fluid retention, cellulite or tired legs, apply a cold bandage with a few drops of thyme oil. This herb is vasoconstrictor, reduces inflammation and eliminates water retention.

It also serves to repel insects: place in a vaporizer the essence of thyme mixed with water and spray through the air. Another option is to make a mixture of essential oil oils, mint and tea tree to apply on the skin.

On emotional level, thyme essential oil calms nerves and fights the feeling of mental exhaustion. It also helps relieve chronic insomnia. To do this, it can be used in hornitos or diffusers.
